An upcoming film of Star Cinema entitled \u201cKasal\u201d<\/em> will be starred by actress Bea Alonzo as she will be working again with her former leading men Derek Ramsay and Paulo Avelino.<\/p>\n

Alonzo and Ramsay both starred in the 2010 Philippine suspense drama \u201cMagkaribal\u201d<\/em> (Rivals) that mainly tackles\u00a0love, fashion and family. The series revolves around the story of two women in the fashion industry who discover that they are sisters.<\/p>\n

Avelino and Alonzo, on the other hand, worked together in the 2014 hit Philippine television series \u201cSana Bukas pa ang Kahapon.\u201d <\/em>The story is about two women, who will be united by fate and their hunger to seek truth and justice.<\/p>\n

Alonzo played the role of Rose Buenavusta-Salvador and Atty. Emmanuelle Gaspar-Romeo. Rose is a kindhearted and intelligent heiress of a chocolate company, while Emmanuelle is a feisty and confident lawyer.<\/p>\n

A story conference for \u201cKasal\u201d was held earlier today, October 23, at ABS-CBN with film director and Wildflower<\/em> business unit head Ruel S. Bayani, Star Creatives COO Malou Santos, Derek Ramsay, Paulo Avelino, and Bea Alonzo.<\/p>\n

This movie will mark Bayani\u2019s return to directing after five years. The last film he directed was the 2012 Metro Manila Film Festival entry One More Try<\/em> which starred Angel Locsin, Angelica Panganiban, Dingdong Dantes, and Zanjoe Marudo.<\/p>\n

In an Instagram post of Star Cinema, Bayani said during the story conference that the film is very complicated and that it\u2019s going to be a story about three adult complex characters.<\/p>\n

“One who wants to stop it, one wants to proceed, and one woman who has to choose which wedding to go to and what decision to make,\u201d Bayani said.<\/p>\n

He further added that they waited a whole year to match the three lead actors\u2019 schedule. He said fans and movie goers have every reason to be excited.<\/p>\n

Ramsay, for his part, expressed his gratitude in his Instagram post for another blessing.<\/p>\n

Earlier this month, Alonzo has already dropped a clue that she will be doing a movie with her former leading men.<\/p>\n

\u201cI will be doing a movie with Paulo (Avelino) and Derek (Ramsay). I think end of the year pa ‘yun<\/em> or early next year. Under Star Cinema pa rin<\/em>. It will be directed by Ruel Bayani,\u201d the actress said in an interview with ABS-CBN.<\/p>\n

Alonzo\u2019s last movie project with Star Cinema was the 2016 romantic flick How To Be Yours<\/em>, while Ramsay\u2019s last film was the 2015 romantic-comedy All You Need Is Pag-ibig <\/em>(All You Need is Love).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
