(<a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/senateph\/photos\/pcb.1615181231839485\/1615180701839538\/?type=3&amp;amp;theater\" target=\"_blank\">Photo: senateph\/Facebook<\/a>)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Senator Antonio Trillanes clarified on Friday that he only presented \u2018factual information\u2019 about the current situation in the Philippines in his meeting with United States Senator Marco Rubio, denying claims that he tried to stop US President Donald Trump from visiting the country.<\/p>\n<p>Trillanes negated reports that he attempted to influence US lawmakers to convince Trump to cancel his scheduled visit to Manila in November.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI would like to confirm the information that I met with senior US government officials to include Senator Marco Rubio.
