(PCOO photo)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><strong>MANILA<\/strong>\u00a0&#8212; Maute group-controlled areas in Marawi City have shrunk to an estimated five hectares, down from eight last week, Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) spokesperson, Maj. Gen. Restituto Padilla, said late Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;<em>Ang lugar po na pinagkukubkuban na lang nila ay napaliit na natin<\/em>, less than five hectares\u00a0<em>na lang. Dati ay walong ektarya ang hinaharap natin, ngayon ay kulang kulang na lang po<\/em>, less than five hectares\u00a0<em>na lang ito<\/em>\u00a0(We have reduced the area controlled by them [Maute group].
