I received it I think a month ago,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>The BOC chief noted that Gambala cited personal reasons for quitting his post.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c<em>Ang nasabi sa akin<\/em>\u00a0because (of) his family.\u00a0<em>Para maka-<\/em>attend\u00a0<em>sa kanyang<\/em>\u00a0family but that is also what he stated\u00a0<em>sa<\/em>\u00a0letter of resignation (I was told it is because of his family. So that he can attend to his family but that is also what he stated in his letter of resignation),\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>Gambala was among those summoned during the congressional inquiry on the controversial PHP6.4-billion shabu shipment which passed undetected through Customs.<\/p>\n<p>He, together with several others, were appointed by former BOC Commissioner Nicanor Faeldon to high-ranking positions in the bureau.<\/p>\n<p>They are former Intelligence, Investigation Service Director Neil Anthony Estrella former; former Import Assessment Director Milo Maestrecampo; Deputy Commissioner Natalio Ecarma III and Legal Division Dir.
