Walang\u00a0<\/em>conspiracy<em>\u00a0ang Partido, ang LP. Hindi siya\u00a0<\/em>involved<em>\u00a0dito. In fact, kahit si\u00a0<\/em>Secretary Lorenzana<em>\u00a0mismo ang nagsasabi na walang ouster o walang destab plot\u00a0<\/em>(There\u2019s no destabilization lot. The LP is not making a conspiracy. It is not involved here. In fact, Secretary Lorenzana himself said that there\u2019s no ouster or destab plot),\u201d Senator Francis Pangilinan said in an interview.<\/p>\n<p>Pangilinan said that it was no longer new for the LP to be accused of scheming against the administration since a year ago.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cEh dati na &#8216;yan eh. Paulit-ulit na &#8216;yan\u2026basta mayroong gusto silang sisihin, pinakamadaling gawin ay sisihin ang LP. Hindi na ito naiiba dun\u00a0<\/em>(That\u2019s old news. It\u2019s repetitive. As long as they have got someone to blame, it\u2019s always the LP),\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>He stressed that criticizing the government should not be immediately associated with destabilization plots or that critics were \u201cenemies of the State.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Senator Paolo Benigno Aquino IV, like Pangilinan, also denied the accusation.<\/p>\n<p><em>&#8220;Hindi kami involved sa anumang\u00a0<\/em>ouster plot<em>. Ang mga paratang na yan ay gawa-gawa lamang\u00a0<\/em>(We are not involved in any ouster plot. Those accusations are fabrications),\u201d Aquino said.<\/p>\n<p>Aquino, meanwhile, urged the government to allow people to hold a separate stand on issues and air their criticisms without fear of retribution instead of exerting efforts to persecute dissenters.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;This is no longer healthy for our democracy.\u00a0<em>Sa isang demokrasya, dapat may kakayahan tayong magsabi ng ating saloobin\u00a0<\/em>(In a democracy, we should have the capability to air our thoughts),\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>Although not a member of the LP, Senator Panfilo Lacson said that it was \u201cpossible\u201d that there were some planning to do so, but pointed out that Duterte still had high trust ratings.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cPwedeng may nag-iisip pero\u00a0<\/em>if they succeed, 82 percent approval and trust rate<em>\u00a0ng pangulo, mahirap mangyari &#8216;yan ma-<\/em>oust<em>\u00a0ka\u00a0<\/em>either through People Power (There could be some thinking about it, but the approval and trust rating of the President is at 82 percent. It would be difficult to be ousted either through People Power),\u201d Lacson said.<\/p>\n<p>Lacson said that it was also unlikely that the military had plans to do so.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cMilitary unlikely naman since he\u2019s so close with the military.\u00a0<\/em>But during the hearing<em>\u00a0namin sa\u00a0<\/em>budget<em>\u00a0ng DND,\u00a0<\/em>categorically<em>\u00a0tinanong ni\u00a0<\/em>Senator<em>\u00a0Trillanes kung may\u00a0<\/em>move to destabilize<em>. Sagot ng\u00a0<\/em>DND and AFP leadership, both Sec Lorenzana and CSAFP<em>\u00a0ano, wala.\u00a0<\/em>So there\u2019s no basis (\u201cIt\u2019s unlikely that the military has plans because the President is close with the military.
