(<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/LVMPD\/status\/914782708831625216\">Photo<\/a>: <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/LVMPD\">LVMPD\/Twitter<\/a>)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The Filipina girlfriend of the Las Vegas shooter on Wednesday said she had no idea her partner was planning the attack that killed 58 people and injured more than 500 in an outdoor concert in Las Vegas.<\/p>\n<p>Marilou Danley, who said she had voluntarily returned to the United States, released a statement as she was being questioned by Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) agents for clues to what urged Paddock to execute his planned carnage.<\/p>\n<p>Based on her statement read by her attorney Matthew Lombard, Danley described her boyfriend Stephen Paddock as a \u201ckind, caring, and quiet man.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI loved him and hoped for a quiet future together with him,\u201d she said. &#8220;He never said anything to me or took any action that I was aware of that I understood in any way to be a warning that something horrible like this was going to happen.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Danley added that two weeks ago, Paddock told her he found an inexpensive plane ticket, saying that he wanted her to take a trip to visit her family in the Philippines.
