The Filipina girlfriend of the Las Vegas shooter on Wednesday said she had no idea her partner was planning the attack that killed 58 people and injured more than 500 in an outdoor concert in Las Vegas.<\/p>\n

Marilou Danley, who said she had voluntarily returned to the United States, released a statement as she was being questioned by Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) agents for clues to what urged Paddock to execute his planned carnage.<\/p>\n

Based on her statement read by her attorney Matthew Lombard, Danley described her boyfriend Stephen Paddock as a \u201ckind, caring, and quiet man.”<\/p>\n

\u201cI loved him and hoped for a quiet future together with him,\u201d she said. “He never said anything to me or took any action that I was aware of that I understood in any way to be a warning that something horrible like this was going to happen.\u201d<\/p>\n

Danley added that two weeks ago, Paddock told her he found an inexpensive plane ticket, saying that he wanted her to take a trip to visit her family in the Philippines. The 62-year-old Filipina was thrilled to go home and see her family and friends just like any other Filipino abroad.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhile there, he wired me money which he said was for me to buy a house for me and my family,\u201d that statement read.<\/p>\n

Danley admitted that she was grateful, however she became worried thinking that those were Paddock\u2019s way of breaking up with her.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt never occurred to me in any way whatsoever he was planning violence against anyone,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n

Danley said she was also devastated by the deaths and injuries that have happened and her prayers goes out to the victims and their loved ones, as well as those who have been hurt by these horrible occurrences.<\/p>\n

“I am a mother and grandmother and my heart breaks for all who have lost loved ones,” she said.<\/p>\n

As of now, the authorities still haven\u2019t found any clues to explain the shooter\u2019s action, but they persistently trace every possible hint on the case.<\/p>\n
