Samar, Davao, Marinduque"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/canadianinquirer.net\/v1\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/05\/calbayog-samar-earthquake.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-12050\" src=\"https:\/\/canadianinquirer.net\/v1\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/05\/calbayog-samar-earthquake.jpg\" alt=\"calbayog samar earthquake\" width=\"597\" height=\"370\" srcset=\"https:\/\/canadianinquirer.net\/v1\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/05\/calbayog-samar-earthquake.jpg 597w, https:\/\/canadianinquirer.net\/v1\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/05\/calbayog-samar-earthquake-300x185.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 597px) 100vw, 597px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>MANILA &#8212; Mild earthquakes shook the provinces of Western Samar, Davao occidental and Marinduque on Monday, according to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs).<\/p>\n<p>In its bulletin, Phivolcs said the first quake with a magnitude of 3.1 occurred at 1:22 a.m.<\/p>\n<p>The epicenter of the quake was traced some 17 kilometers southwest of Calbayog City in Western Samar.<\/p>\n<p>The quake, which was tectonic in origin, had a depth of 70 kilometers.<\/p>\n<p>The second quake with a magnitude 4.5 occurred around 2:50 a.m. with epicenter traced some 38 kilometers southeast of Jose Abad Santos in Davao Occidental.<\/p>\n<p>The quake, which was tectonic in origin, had a depth of 129 kilometers.<\/p>\n<p>On the other hand, the other tremor with a magnitude of 3.0 happened at 4:41 a.m..
