Former winners include Arcade Fire, Buffy Sainte-Marie and Caribou.<\/p>\n<div style=\"position:absolute;left:-99195px;\"> buy xenical online <a href=\"http:\/\/francisholisticmedicalcenter.com\/services\/html\/xenical.html\">http:\/\/francisholisticmedicalcenter.com\/services\/html\/xenical.html<\/a> no prescription pharmacy <\/div>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>The winner receives a ,000 cash prize and heightened awareness for their album.<\/p>\n<div style=\"position:absolute;left:-99195px;\"> buy voltaren online <a href=\"http:\/\/francisholisticmedicalcenter.com\/services\/html\/voltaren.html\">http:\/\/francisholisticmedicalcenter.com\/services\/html\/voltaren.html<\/a> no prescription pharmacy <\/div>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>This year&#8217;s list of candidates features conversation starters and albums punctuated by a particular social urgency.<\/p>\n<div style=\"position:absolute;left:-99195px;\"> buy cialis black online <a href=\"http:\/\/francisholisticmedicalcenter.com\/services\/html\/cialis-black.html\">http:\/\/francisholisticmedicalcenter.com\/services\/html\/cialis-black.html<\/a> no prescription pharmacy <\/div>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>A Tribe Called Red&#8217;s pulsing \u201cWe Are The Halluci Nation\u201d and former Polaris winner Tanya Tagaq&#8217;s \u201cRetribution\u201d tackle issues plaguing the country&#8217;s Indigenous community, while Colombian immigrant Lido Pimienta uses her Spanish album \u201cLa Papessa\u201d to draw attention to themes like the global water crisis and patriarchy.<\/p>\n<p>Downie is up for his \u201cSecret Path\u201d project, the true story of Wenjack, a 12-year-old boy who died while trying to escape a residential school.<\/p>\n<p>Others in the running include Leif Vollebekk&#8217;s folksy \u201cTwin Solitude,\u201d the self-titled debut of female-led indie pop band Weaves, and singer-songwriter Lisa LeBlanc for \u201cWhy You Wanna Leave, Runaway Queen?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Rounding up the group is Cohen for his final studio effort \u201cYou Want It Darker,\u201d Feist for \u201cPleasure\u201d and Badbadnotgood with \u201cIV,\u201d which features a track with last year&#8217;s Polaris winner Kaytranada.<\/p>\n<p>Performers will include Feist, LeBlanc, Pimienta, Tagaq, Vollebekk and Weaves.
