Lorna Kapunan and/or Justice Secretary Leila de Lima.

Kapunan simply finds this rumor preposterous, as she was interviewed on the ABS-CBN News Channel (ANC) on Wednesday.

“That is absurd… She had plastic surgery daw to look like me. That is why they could not find her,” Kapunan said.

Still in full lawyer mode, Kapunan insisted that her client Napoles is still in the country.

“She has nothing to hide. I am believing that she has nothing to hide,” she said.

“If she is involved, she will come out with the truth. Just let her come out,” she added.

But if her client does come forward, Kapunan says that it is not because of the P10-million reward.

President Benigno Aquino III announced Wednesday that a reward will be given for the arrest of Napoles.

“P10 million is the reward for any information leading to the arrest of Ms. Napoles,” President Aquino announced.

“This latest bounty is not an incentive for her to come out,” Kapunan said in defense of her client.

Kapunan, in her ANC interview, said that the nationwide manhunt (wherein talks of involving the interpol are already being tackled) is not a sure sign that the government wants Napoles to surrender simply for the sake of turning herself in.

“(The authorities) are placing every obstacle in the way to her coming forward and surrendering herself,” Kapunan piped.

“She will come forward,” she added, so long as Napoles is assured of her safety.

With reports from Kristine Angeli Sabillo, Ira Pedrasa, and TJ Burgonio.

Recently, rumors have been milling around that alleged pork barrel scam queen Janet Lim-Napoles had plastic surgery in order to …

[95

post-1182","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","category-news-ph","mauthors-ching-dee","mauthors-philippine-canadian-inquirer
["GET
