(PNA PHOTO)\" width=\"240\" height=\"180\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-112620\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">FILE: Presidential Spokesperson Ernesto Abella\u00a0\u00a0(PNA PHOTO)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The Palace has distanced itself from Department of Justice (DOJ) Secretary Vitaliano Aguirre II\u2019s \u2018blown out of proportion\u2019 comment on Kian delos Santos\u2019 death.<\/p>\n<p>Presidential Spokesperson Ernesto Abella on a Palace briefing on Thursday said, \u201cThat is the opinion of Secretary Aguirre but, from the Palace point of view, this is a serious matter and we have given it the kind of due attention.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>While the Spokesperson said that this is a matter of \u2018depth and seriousness,\u2019 he also said, \u201cOn the other hand, it is also wise to make sure everything is continuously in perspective.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Delos Santos was the 17-year-old killed by policemen last week in an anti-drug operation in Caloocan, and filled the headlines after the police\u2019s statements contradict the witnesses\u2019 statements and the CCTV footage. The killing has prompted protesters to rally dubbed as \u2018Himagsikan para kay Kian\u2019 on August 21.<\/p>\n<p>On Wednesday during the DOJ budget hearing, Aguirre said \u201cBlow out of proportion in the media <em>[ito] kaya akala mo napakalaki na. Isa lang siya sa<\/em> thousands <em>na pang-aabuso ng pulis kung talagang may pang-aabuso <\/em>(This is blown out of proportion in the media that is why it looks big.
