(<a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/celinedion\/photos\/a.315768396650.156174.6624036650\/10154656262476651\/?type=3&amp;theater\" target=\"_blank\">Photo<\/a>: Olivier Samson Arcand via <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/celinedion\" target=\"_blank\">Celine Dion\/Facebook<\/a>)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>MONTREAL\u2014Celine Dion says she&#8217;s \u201cvery, very, very happy\u201d these days and \u201cnot afraid to try things.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Quebec pop superstar attracted hordes of fans to a shoe store in downtown Montreal on Wednesday for the launch of a line of handbags and accessories.<\/p>\n<p>Dion was asked about how some pop culture watchers have dubbed 2017 \u201cthe year of Celine Dion\u201d and her recent forays into high fashion.<\/p>\n<p>She made headlines in July after posing nude for a photo that appeared on the Instagram account of Vogue magazine.<\/p>\n<p>The photo showed the 49-year-old Dion sitting on a chair with her arms covering her breasts and her right leg crossed over her left, while a caption discussed the singer&#8217;s love of custom-made haute couture clothing.<\/p>\n<p>Dion says she emerged from a period of mourning following the death of her husband Rene Angelil in January 2016 with a burst of creativity.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI&#8217;m enjoying myself, I went through a lot and I&#8217;m not the only one. But people who went through a lot they probably understand,\u201d Dion said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI have projects, I have visions, I have focus, I want to create.
