(Photo courtesy of Valenzuela City website)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>A rally for justice will be held tonight by relatives, friends, and supporters of 17-year-old Grade 11 student Kian Loyd Delos Santos who was allegedly killed in an anti-drug police operation in Caloocan City.<\/p>\n<p>The \u201cHimagsikan para kay Kian\u201d will be held at the People Power Monument in Quezon City at 6 pm and will coincide with the 34<sup>th<\/sup> death anniversary of slain former Senator Benigno \u201cNinoy\u201d Aquino Jr.<\/p>\n<p>On her facebook post Saturday, University professor Sylvia Claudio said the rally should be made as a \u2018common humanity\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf possible, no organizational posters. Let\u2019s make this about our common humanity,\u201d Claudio said.<\/p>\n<p>Former education Secretary Bro. Armin Luistro has invited the public to offer a minute of silence to remember Delos Santos.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMay I propose a minute of silence every night at 8:24 to remember Kian Loyd Delos Santos and all innocent victims of merciless deaths in our land,\u201d Luistro, also the current president of De La Salle University, said.<\/p>\n<p>A CCTV footage showed Delos Santos was hauled by two men in civilian clothes at 8:24 p.m. Wednesday in Caloocan City before he was found dead.<\/p>\n<p>Luistro also wrote a prayer for life that may be recited at 8:25 in the evening.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe beg that the Lord grant us a compassionate heart so we may not grow callous and indifferent at these countless deaths,\u201d the prayer reads.<\/p>\n<p>Luistro urged Filipino people to work untiringly to denounce \u201cthe culture of violence and death in our society and sow life-giving values in our families.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Luistro and other former education officials visited the wake of Delos Santos last Friday evening.<\/p>\n<p>Delos Santos was found dead in an alleged shootout with the police.
