{"id":112535,"date":"2017-08-17T00:06:43","date_gmt":"2017-08-17T04:06:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/canadianinquirer.net\/v1\/?p=112535"},"modified":"2017-08-17T00:06:43","modified_gmt":"2017-08-17T04:06:43","slug":"iloilo-buy-bust-yields-128-sachets-of-hard-drugs","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/canadianinquirer.net\/v1\/2017\/08\/17\/iloilo-buy-bust-yields-128-sachets-of-hard-drugs\/","title":{"rendered":"Iloilo buy-bust yields 128 sachets of hard drugs"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>ILOILO CITY<\/strong>\u2014 A 22-year-old man yielded 128 sachets of suspected shabu during\u00a0\u00a0a buy-bust operation in Mandurriao district in this city, Tuesday evening.<\/p>\n<p>The hard drugs were recovered from Jomar Mendoza of Barangay San Nicolas, Lapaz, Iloilo City.<\/p>\n<p>The buy-bust operation was conducted by the Regional Drug Enforcement Unit (RDEU) in Western Visayas, Station Drug Enforcement Team (SDET), Iloilo City Police Station (ICPS) 5 in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) 6 and under the direct Supervision of Senior Superintendent Jesus Cambay, deputy regional director for operations (DRDO) of the Police Regional Office (PRO) 6.<\/p>\n<p>Mendoza was arrested after selling and handling over to a police poseur-buyer one sachet of suspected shabu sealed in transparent plastic marked with JM-BB with initial JCV.<\/p>\n<p>Other than the hard drugs, recovered from his possession and control during the conduct of body search were the PHP1,000 buy-bust money and cellular phone of the suspect.<\/p>\n<p>DRDO Cambay, in an interview on Wednesday, said the suspect is facing charges for violating Sections 5 and 11 of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.<\/p>\n<p>The hard drugs seized from the suspect are now in the PNP Crime Laboratory Office 6, he said.<\/p>\n<p>Mendoza, who is currently detained at the ICPS 5 custodial facility in Mandurriao district, however, denied the allegationsclaiming the shabu seized from him were &#8220;planted.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Previously, Mendoza was detained at the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) facility in Barangay Nanga, Pototan, Iloilo for a case of visiting a drug den.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>ILOILO CITY\u2014 A 22-year-old man yielded 128 sachets of suspected shabu during\u00a0\u00a0a buy-bust operation in Mandurriao district in this city, &hellip;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":33,"featured_media":70873,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[95],"tags":[21395,4395,21388],"class_list":["post-112535","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-news-ph","tag-buy-bust","tag-illegal-drugs","tag-iloilo-province","mauthors-philippine-news-agency"],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/canadianinquirer.net\/v1\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/112535","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/canadianinquirer.net\/v1\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/canadianinquirer.net\/v1\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/post"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/canadianinquirer.net\/v1\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/33"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/canadianinquirer.net\/v1\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/comments?post=112535"}],"version-history":[{"count":0,"href":"https:\/\/canadianinquirer.net\/v1\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/112535\/revisions"}],"wp:featuredmedia":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/canadianinquirer.net\/v1\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media\/70873"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/canadianinquirer.net\/v1\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=112535"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/canadianinquirer.net\/v1\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/categories?post=112535"},{"taxonomy":"post_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/canadianinquirer.net\/v1\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/tags?post=112535"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
