MANILA \u2014 Quezon City was named for two straight years as the country\u2019s most competitive highly urbanized city in the Cities and Municipalities Competitiveness Index (CMCI) 2017.<\/p>\n

National Competitiveness Council (NCC) Philippines\u2019 CMCI ranks competitiveness of cities and municipalities in terms of economic dynamism, government efficiency, infrastructure, and resiliency.<\/p>\n

Quezon City also topped other highly urbanized cities in the country in terms of infrastructure and was ranked number two in pillars of economic dynamism, government efficiency, and resiliency.<\/p>\n

The country\u2019s capital, Manila City, ranked second in competitiveness among highly urbanized cities in the country.<\/p>\n

It also topped other cities in the pillar of government efficiency.<\/p>\n

Davao City came in as third most competitive highly urbanized city in the country this year.<\/p>\n

Davao City was also named as most resilient highly urbanized city of the country.<\/p>\n

Makati City was dislodged in the top three in the CMCI 2017 from being in the top spot in the CMCI in 2014.<\/p>\n

The CMCI 2017 ranked the provinces of Rizal, South Cotabato, and Cavite, respectively, as the country\u2019s most competitive provinces.<\/p>\n

It was also noted that cities of Tacloban and Zamboanga are the most improved cities in the CMCI 2017, followed by Taguig City and Pasay City, respectively. (PNA)<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
