Duterte said that the United Stated is also facing the same problem on suppressing illegal drugs.

“Sabi ko, ang America na America, naging America na iyan, hindi nga niya makontrol iyong drugs, tayo pa kaya? (Even America can’t control illegal drugs. How can we?), he said.

Alejano also said that if the President’s focal point is to liberate the safety of the citizen, the President should revisit his deadly war on drugs that has so far cost over ten thousand Filipino lives.

Congressman Alejano added, the root of the illegal drugs is the incapacitated criminal justice system of the country, “Therefore, let us attack the problem head on and not the victims of this failure in the system!” Alejano stressed.

Philippines is also known as one of the major drug-transit country in Asia, the country is now facing several news regarding politicians associated in the operation of illegal drugs.

The Lawmaker strongly believed, the “reformation’ should be the priority of the administration— modernizing and professionalizing the law enforcement agencies such as the PNP.

Magdalo Party-list Representative Gary Alejano on Sunday denounced President Rodrigo Duterte’s war on drugs.
