(PNA Photo)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>MANILA, Aug. 4 &#8212; In planning Marawi City&#8217;s rehabilitation, the government met and discussed with various officials, stakeholders and residents to build much better and resilient communities.<\/p>\n<p>This was emphasized by Cabinet Secretary Leoncio Evasco during Friday&#8217;s &#8220;Bangon Marawi&#8221; forum held at the Conrad Hotel in Pasay City.<\/p>\n<p>He said the meeting with various groups in Marawi City gave the government a very good basis in the proposed rehabilitation of the area which was heavily damaged in the ongoing fighting with Maute Group terrorists that started last May 23.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;This is all I can say, we are not only building houses but we (are also building) communities,&#8221; Evasco emphasized.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Building communities would mean that we have yet to provide these houses with water and electricity. Water because our brother Muslims and their (religious) practices need water,&#8221; he added.<\/p>\n<p>Aside from this, the Cabinet Secretary said they also need to construct infrastructure and much better roads than the gravel ones currently being used.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Thirdly, we build to provide social services. Many would say that we have to provide to schools &#8212; schools for our brother Muslims.
