{"id":105413,"date":"2017-06-08T02:04:34","date_gmt":"2017-06-08T06:04:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/canadianinquirer.net\/v1\/?p=105413"},"modified":"2017-06-08T02:04:34","modified_gmt":"2017-06-08T06:04:34","slug":"german-fugitive-arrested-in-philippines-faces-deportation","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/canadianinquirer.net\/v1\/2017\/06\/08\/german-fugitive-arrested-in-philippines-faces-deportation\/","title":{"rendered":"German fugitive arrested in Philippines, faces deportation"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>MANILA, Philippines\u2014Philippine officials say they have arrested a German man wanted in his country for attempted murder of a compatriot more than a decade ago.<\/p>\n<p>Immigration Commissioner Jaime Morente said Thursday that 52-year-old Lothar Gunter Bebenroth was apprehended in central Bohol province on the German Embassy&#8217;s request. He says the fugitive has an arrest warrant issued by the Potsdam district court for repeatedly evading hearings in his court case.<\/p>\n<p>He says Bebenroth will be deported and blacklisted as an undesirable alien.
