(<a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/TheHousePH\/photos\/a.10150690050162271.387002.183015742270\/10150690050182271\/?type=3&amp;amp;theater\" target=\"_blank\">Photo<\/a>: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/TheHousePH\" target=\"_blank\">House of Representatives of the Philippines\/Facebook<\/a>)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>MANILA\u2014With overwhelming \u201cayes\u201d, The House of Representatives on Wednesday adopted a resolution expressing its \u201cfull support\u201d to President Rodrigo Duterte in his declaration of martial law in Mindanao.<\/p>\n<p>According to House Resolution No. 1050, the Committee of the Whole had found \u201cno reason to revoke\u201d Duterte\u2019s Proclamation 216 entitled \u201cDeclaring a state of martial law and suspending the privilege of the writ of habeas corpus in the whole of Mindanao\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>The lower chamber constituted itself as a Committee of the Whole to tackle the President\u2019s report on the martial law declaration.<\/p>\n<p>The committee received a briefing by the different department heads of the executive branch including Executive Secretary Salvador Medialdea, Defense Secretary Delfin Lorenzana, National Security Adviser Hermogenes Esperon, and other Cabinet officials.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;During the said briefing and after interpellation, the Members of the House of Representatives determined the sufficiency of the factual basis for the issuance of Proclamation No. 216,&#8221; the resolution read.<\/p>\n<p>For its part, the minority bloc led by Quezon Rep.
