MANILA\u2014An official of the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of the Philippines-Episcopal Commission on Migrants and Itinerant People (CBCP-ECMI) condemned the terror attack at a concert in Manchester, England<\/p>\n

CBCP – Episcopal Commission on Migrants and Itinerant People (ECMI) Chairman Bishop Ruperto Santos said the incident in an attack to peace and humanity.<\/p>\n

“Nothing and no one can justify that senseless and evil killing. It is attack to peace and humanity. False ideology results to death and destruction,” he said.<\/p>\n

Santos added, “This is to be avoided and condemned by all.”<\/p>\n

With this, the Balanga Bishop asked the faithful to offer prayers for those who perished and also to those who survived.<\/p>\n

“May God grant eternal rest and rebuild their lives,” Santos said.<\/p>\n

Likewise, he asked for prayers for the change of heart of those who perpetrated the attack.<\/p>\n

“Let us pray for peace and goodwill among people. We beg God for change of heart and conversion of those propagating hatred,” added the CBCP-ECMI head.<\/p>\n

On Tuesday, a blast rocked the concert of American singer Ariana Grande at the Manchester Arena, killing at least 22 people and injuring 59 others.<\/p>\n
