(Photo: <a href=\"https:\/\/web.facebook.com\/JojoCBinay\/photos\/a.262293237128848.70052.262290170462488\/1219113328113496\/?type=1&amp;theater\">Jojo Binay\/Facebook<\/a>)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>MANILA\u2014The Sandiganbayan has allowed former Makati City Mayor Elenita Binay to join her husband former Vice President Jejomar &#8220;Jojo&#8221; Binay to travel to Israel for a two-week pilgrimage this month.<\/p>\n<p>In two separate resolutions released on Thursday, the Sandiganbayan&#8217;s Third, Fourth and Fifth Divisions granted Mrs. Binay the permission for her &#8220;Holy Land Pilgrimage&#8221; from May 15 to 29, 2017, together with her husband.<\/p>\n<p>However, the anti-graft court set some conditions on the travel motion of Mrs. Binay.<\/p>\n<p>The Sandiganbayan said that Mrs. Binay should not leave the country earlier than May 15, 2017 and that she should return to the country before May 29, 2017.<\/p>\n<p>Mrs. Binay should also personally appear before the Division Clerks of Court within 15 days upon return to the country.<\/p>\n<p>The Sandiganbayan ordered Mrs. Binay to bring her passport and photocopies of some documents showing her departure and return to the country.<\/p>\n<p>Mrs. Binay is facing graft and malversation charges before the Sandiganbayan&#8217;s Third Division for the alleged anomalous purchase of hospital beds and sterilizers for the Ospital ng Makati amounting to Php 45 million.<\/p>\n<p>Likewise, Mrs. Binay is also facing a graft case before the Sandiganbayan&#8217;s Fifth Division in connection with the alleged anomalous purchase of office partitions and furnitures amounting to Php 72.06 million in 1999 when she was the Makati City mayor.<\/p>\n<p>On the other hand, after the conditional arraignment of Binay, Sr. on Wednesday, he was also allowed by the Sandiganbayan&#8217;s Third Division to travel to Israel.<\/p>\n<p>Binay, Sr. is facing graft, falsification and malversation charges for the alleged overpriced construction of the Php 2.2-billion Makati parking building.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>MANILA\u2014The Sandiganbayan has allowed former Makati City Mayor Elenita Binay to join her husband former Vice President Jejomar &#8220;Jojo&#8221; Binay &hellip;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":33,"featured_media":102087,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[1482,1145,16,95],"tags":[12648,17870],"class_list":["post-102086","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-breaking","category-headline","category-news","category-news-ph","tag-elenita-binay","tag-jejomar-jojo-binay","mauthors-philippine-news-agency"],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/canadianinquirer.net\/v1\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/102086","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/canadianinquirer.net\/v1\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/canadianinquirer.net\/v1\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/post"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/canadianinquirer.net\/v1\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/33"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/canadianinquirer.net\/v1\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/comments?post=102086"}],"version-history":[{"count":0,"href":"https:\/\/canadianinquirer.net\/v1\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/102086\/revisions"}],"wp:featuredmedia":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/canadianinquirer.net\/v1\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media\/102087"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/canadianinquirer.net\/v1\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=102086"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/canadianinquirer.net\/v1\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/categories?post=102086"},{"taxonomy":"post_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/canadianinquirer.net\/v1\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/tags?post=102086"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
