Bush administration,\u201d Bee told him. \u201cThere&#8217;s never gonna be another president this good for comedy. This guy does something ridiculous like at least ONCE every MONTH!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI can&#8217;t believe you&#8217;re leaving us,\u201d echoed Helms. \u201cIt&#8217;s like Beyonce leaving Destiny&#8217;s Child. We&#8217;re never gonna hear from HER again.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe&#8217;re a family,\u201d said Stewart, pretending to choke up, \u201cbut I guess I&#8217;m realizing that you&#8217;ll all spread your wings and leave me.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Later, during his guest spot, Stewart told Colbert, \u201cI&#8217;ve been reading about you.\u201d Referring to Colbert&#8217;s attention-grabbing joke last week at the expense of President Donald Trump, he said, \u201cYou have a potty mouth.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThat I do,\u201d Colbert replied. \u201cBut might I say, I learned it from you, Dad.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Growing serious, Stewart told Colbert, \u201cThe things that you say, even if they&#8217;re crass, even if they in some ways are not respectful enough to the office of the presidency, can insult. But HE can injure. For the life of me, I do not understand why in this country we try and hold comedians to a standard we do not hold our leaders to.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Stewart, who left \u201cThe Daily Show\u201d in 2015, said he misses that platform.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe process of making the show somehow became intwined with my process of making sense of things that I didn&#8217;t understand,\u201d he said, \u201cso I miss that.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Later, Colbert gathered all of his guests to chat in a semicircle of chairs.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis arrangement we have right now,\u201d he said, \u201cis exactly something we would have made fun of on &#8216;The Daily Show&#8217;: It looks like a morning show.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Currently, Stewart is developing a project for HBO, where Oliver hosts \u201cLast Week Tonight.\u201d Bee hosts \u201cFull Frontal\u201d on TBS.
