Imelda Marcos on Monday doused rumors of her brief death over the internet.<\/p>\n<p>The 87-year old Marcos was present during Monday\u2019s session at the plenary hall of the House of Representatives, thus dispelling the hoax about her supposed demise.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Buhay pa, matanda nga lang, (Still alive, but just old)&#8221; Marcos told reporters in a chance interview.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Thank you, pinatotohanan niyo katotohanan na ako ay buhay pa, (Thank you (for) affirming the truth that I am still alive),\u201d she added as she expressed gratitude to the media for clarifying reports.<\/p>\n<p>Rumor of Marcos\u2019 death circulated following a post on Twitter by Bacoor Mayor Lani Mercado-Revilla, who expressed her condolences over the death of the incumbent congresswoman.<\/p>\n<p>Mercado-Revilla deleted her post and then issued an apology on her Twitter account for the erroneous tweet.<\/p>\n<p>Both tweets had been taken down since.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>MANILA\u2013Former first lady and Ilocos Norte Rep.
