WASHINGTON \u2013 LeBron James scored 39 points as the Cleveland Cavaliers beat the Toronto Raptors 125-103 in Game 2 of their Eastern Conference semifinal series on Wednesday.<\/span><\/p>\n

James overtook the Hall of Fame center Abdul-Jabbar on the career playoff scoring list with a 3-pointer in the third quarter. The king, who now has 5,777 career playoff points, only trails Michael Jordan (5,987) in NBA history.<\/span><\/p>\n

“I’m just playing in my zone. I know what they want to take away. I know what I want to try to get to with our team. My teammates did a great job of feeding me, and I’m the one who’s got to knock down the shots, so I just trust in my ability, and I was able to make a couple of plays and help us get this win,” James said after the game.<\/span><\/p>\n

Kyrie Irving had 22 points and 11 assists and Channing Frye scored 18 points for the Cavaliers, who are 6-0 so far on the way of defending their title.<\/span><\/p>\n

Jonas Valanciunas led the Raptors with 23 points. All-Star DeMar DeRozan, who didn’t make his first field goal until the first minute of the fourth quarter, only got 5 points. Kyle Lowry had 20 points and 5 assists. Serge Ibaka finished with 16 points.<\/span><\/p>\n
