A blind Filipina singer made it to the Grand Finals last Tuesday night, December 6, in a French talent show “France a un Incryoable Talent (France has Incredible Talent)”.
Katchry Jewel Golbin, known for her stage name as “Alienette Coldfire”, 25, first touched the hearts of the viewers in social media when she sang “I’ll Be There” by Mariah Carey and “La Vie en Rose” by Edith Piaf in a mall and became an internet star.
Golbin sang “Le Moulins de mon Coeur (The Windmills of your Mind),” composed by Michel Jean Legrand, this is also the song she used for her audition.
The show’s female judge, Hélène Ségara promised after her performance that Legrand and Alienette should have the chance to sing together. She also said that Golbin sings incredibly.
Male judges Eric Antoine, Gilbert Rozon and Kamel Ouali, got amazed again with her voice and performance on stage.
Golbin serves as an inspiration to Filipinos in France and that they wished her to win in the finals.
In an interview said by a teen model Chesca Ramilo, “I was very touched by the way she sings. I really love her voice because she has a very powerful one, and she really knows how to sing it, and you can feel her emotions and it touches you a lot. And I am really proud of her because she made it to the semi-finals and I know that she will make it to the finals,”
Golbin asks for support in the Filipino community by voting her in the finals.
The Filipina singer will be battling with the French magician duo Tony and Jordan, and dancer Mario Espanol on December 13, aired at France M6 Channel.
