MANILA – Kapamilya actor Matteo Guidicelli refuted rumors that his girlfriend, singer-actress Sarah Geronimo, was pregnant and clarified that they were not yet engaged for marriage.
“May [balitang] engaged siya, may buntis siya. ‘Di naman, wala naman (There’s news that she’s engaged, there’s news that she’s pregnant. But no, there’s no truth to those),” he said in an interview with PEP.ph.
“If things happen, things will happen for a reason. ‘Di tayo nagmamadali. Kung mangyayari, mangyayari (We’re not in a hurry. If it will happen, it will happen),” he added.
Guidicelli also mentioned that they were both very busy with their respective careers for now. He admitted, however, that his girlfriend was the type of woman he would marry.
“She’s very busy, I’m also very busy right now. Everything is doing well, and we’re very thankful,” he said. “Si Sarah na? Siyempre naman, siyempre naman (Is Sarah the one? Of course, of course.)
Geronimo, for her part, earlier denied the speculations.
“Maraming naglabasan, nagli-live in na raw kami, buntis daw ako at engaged na kami. Wala, wala po. Sana mauna muna ‘yung engagement bago ako mabuntis,” she told ABS-CBN News.
(A lot [of rumors] surfaced, they claim we’re living together, that I’m pregnant, and we’re engaged. But no. Hopefully, the engagement comes first before I become pregnant.)
