MANILA – Senator Grace Poe remained as the most preferred presidential candidate in the coming national elections, according to the latest Pulse Asia survey.

The pre-election poll, which was conducted from October 18 to 29, came after the filing of the certificates of candidacies last October 12 to 16.

Among the survey’s 3,400 respondents, 34 percent preferred Poe to be the successor of President Benigno “Noyno” Aquino III.

Vice President Jejomar “Jojo” Binay, who called himself leader of the opposition, ranked second with 24 percent; while former Interior Secretary Manuel “Mar” Roxas II, who has been anointed as the administration’s standard-bearer, only placed third with 21 percent.

In the previous Pulse Asia survey, which was release in September, Poe got 26 percent, while Binay and Roxas received 19 and 20 percent, respectively.
