MANILA, PHILIPPINES – Samahan ng Basketbol ng Pilipinas President Manny Pangilinan said he will no longer extend his term nor bend the rules to make it longer, as his six-year term has come to an end. Elections for president and new board of directors are set on January, according to CNN Philippines’ Paolo Del Rosario’s tweets.

Manny Pangilinan posted on his Twitter account that SBP needs to be refreshed and the association is in need of fresh and young blood to revitalize it.
The SBP Constitution sets an 8yr term limit for Directors and for the Pres. I am caught by that rule w/c I had a hand drafting back in '06
