MANILA — For Senator Juan Ponce Enrile, another plunder case against him is “too much.”
“Sa akin? (To me?) One more time so what’s the difference? Multiple plunder. Sobra na yata yun (I think that’s too much),” Enrile said, responding to a reporter’s question that another plunder case was filed against him.
This was the Senator’s reaction to a new complaint filed against him at the Office of the Ombudsman in connection with his pork barrel funds.
Enrile was accused of allegedly channeling the said funds to questionable non-government organizations (NGOs) linked to Janet Lim Napoles.
The Senator however said, “We’ll see,” when told that the case was just a malversation case, and not plunder.
When asked about his reaction to Ombudsman reported plan to appeal the Supreme Court’s decision on his bail, Enrile said:
“That’s their right, they can go ahead,” he said.
“I gave my arguments so they disposed my case. Nasa kanila yun, (It’s up to them.)” he added.
