MANILA — The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) has said that typhoon “Goring”, last spotted in Basco, Batanes, had finally left the country Saturday.

In its 5 a.m. weather bulletin Saturday, PAGASA said “the eye of typhoon “Goring” was located 1,045 km northeast of Basco, Batanes (25.9°N, 130.3°E) or outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) with maximum sustained winds of 130 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 160 kilometers per hour (kph).”

PAGASA added the weather formation is expected to move northwest at 15 kph.

Meanwhile, PAGASA said the other monitored weather formation, a Low Pressure Area (LPA), had an estimated location of 350 km east northeast of Tuguegarao City (18.0°N, 125.0°E).

PAGASA also warns of light to moderate rains and thunderstorms over the provinces of Isabela and Cagayan and the islands of Batanes, Calayan and Babuyan.

Other parts of the country — including Metro Manila — will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated thunderstorms.

Luzon will also experience light to moderate winds coming from the northeast to southwest, causing seas to be slight to moderate.

Other areas will also experience light to moderate winds, blowing from the South to southwest, affecting seas to be slight to moderate.
