
Filipino triathletes took home silver and bronze medals from the 2015 Taipei Asian Triathlon Championships held in Taiwan.
Kim Mangrobang and Kim Kilgroe in the elite women’s team garnered a time of 2 hours, 22 minutes, 25 seconds and 2 hours, 32 minutes, 16 seconds, respectively.
Their combined time of 4 hours, 54 minutes and 41 seconds placed them in the ranking’s second spot, just behind Japan with 4 hours, 18 minutes and 22 seconds.
Nikko Huelgas and Jonard Saim in the elite men’s team, on the other hand, acquired a time of 2 hours, 6 minutes, 18 seconds and 2 hours, 10 minutes, 5 seconds, respectively. Their combined time of 4 hours, 16 minutes and 21 seconds secured them a third spot, following Japan with 4 hours and 41 seconds and Hong Kong with 4 hours, 8 minutes and 53 seconds.
The athletes covered a 1.5K swim, 40K bike and 10K run in the triathlon.
