MANILA — Former Makati City Mayor Elenita Binay who is facing graft charges before the anti-graft court is asking permission to travel abroad to visit her doctor.
In her motion for authority to travel, Dra. Binay said she will abide by the rules of the Sandiganbayan to show that she is not a flight risk and willing to come back to face her pending case.
She is asking the Fourth and Fifth Division to allow her to travel to California, USA on May 1 to 22 to visit her sister and at the same time to visit her physician, Dr.
Robert Klapper at Cedar Sinai Medical Center.
“Movant herein complied with the Honorable Court’s conditions for travel including informing the court of her return to the country immediately upon her arrival.
Dr. Binay is also willing to post the appropriate travel bond and to comply with all other conditions that may be imposed by the Honorable court,” Binay said in his motion.
