MANILA — A family of five survived an attempt on their lives by still unidentified men who fired upon their car in Quezon City on Sunday.
According to Batasan police commander Supt.
Segundo Lagundi Jr., the Dalupang family were on their way to their house in Don Antonio Heights, Barangay Holy Spirit when a man riding a motorcycle fired at their car.
The two men were wearing helmets and appeared alongside their vehicle.
Ali Dalupang, 39, a businessman engaged in buying and selling vehicles was driving the car with his son, daughter-in-law, two-year-old grandchild and nephew.
He was wounded in the incident, but was able to shake off the motorcycle riders who later escaped.
Police said the suspect waited for the family to return to their house and fired at them as they passed by Don Carlos corner Primotivo Street.
The victims were then brought to the hospital where they were treated for bullet grazes in the arms and legs.
