The pandemic is not stopping the government’s education wing from pushing for distance and online learning but a lot of communities are still struggling to be equipped for this rapid change. Edu Manzano joined other big names in helping the less-fortunate through a donation drive.
“First batch of 10 computers for the less-fortunate children of Tahanan ng Panginoon. With online/e-learning inevitable children need computers to continue their education and be able to contribute positively to society,” Edu wrote in an Instagram post showing the boxes of the mentioned gadgets.
He added that “the computer sets will go to schools and different organizations para mas marami ang makikinabang (so a lot more can use it).”
He then thanked those who helped and “shared their blessings” and mentioned that there are “more to follow.”
The 64-year-old is one of the celebrities using their large influence and assets in aiding different communities in the shift on education practices because of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19). Some of the big stars include Heart Evangelista-Escudero with her Big Heart PH and Ryan Cayabyab’s recent benefit concert.
