By , on May 28, 2020

Different celebrities use their connections and resources to help out in these trying times. One of these shining stars is Bea Alonzo’s and she happily announced a milestone for her co-founded organization, “I am Hope.”

In a video posted on her Instagram, Bea shared that the organization has raised P9-million in its aid response to this pandemic crisis. In her almost 30-minute-video, she also introduced other members of the group who are: co-founder of the organization Rina Navarro, “It’s Showtime” host Vhong Navarro, Tricia Canilao, Laurence Mossman, and May Militante.

She also showcased their office and said that through donations, they were able to help 44 hospitals and 36 communities.

This good news was further confirmed by the organization’s Instagram page, where it posted the milestone, along with the caption that it “reached a new milestone in our donations today, day 70. We have raised a total of P9,000,000 in cash and in kind.”

I am Hope said that it is grateful for the generosity of its donors and that it will continue its mission to be one of the organizations to respond in the face of a crisis, not only during this coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) crisis.

“Our Mission is to provide assistance to communities focusing on poverty alleviation through education & feeding,” it added.

Just recently, I am Hope also worked with the Office of the Vice President in helping Lakas ng Kababaihan (LNK) in distributing relief packs and hygiene packs to the remote islands of Cardona, Rizal.

@iamhope_org and Lakas ng Kababaihan (LNK) aspires to live in a borderless world where women help women.💖 It’s not just about building a home, it’s not just about getting a career; it’s also about going out there and giving hope to others in need. 💖 I am Hope Org collaborated with the Office of Vice President Leni Robredo in helping out LNK leaders from the remote islands in Cardona, Rizal. 🙌 The collaboration was able to provide hygiene packs, and relief packs to the selected barangays who braved the waves at Laguna De Bay amidst an approaching typhoon to get to Cardona, Rizal proper and claim the goods for their respective areas. They said that these would be of great help to their daily needs as they are not easily reached by organizations that are doing relief operations. 🎁 May this mark the beginning of how a nation can change, in the lens of women leaders empowering others.💖 #iamHOPEFUL #iamHOPE @thisisrinanavarro @beaalonzo @vhongx44 @iam_mariamay @carizperegrino
