The suspect for tweeting a death threat against Angel Locsin and other Kapamilya artists surrendered to authorities.
In a report by ABS-CBN News, Nhiel Jhon Abellanosa surrendered to the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) in Island Garden City, Samal, Davao del Norte, but denied that he is the one who owned the Twitter account with the name NJ Abellanosa (@AbellanosaNj), insisting that he does not own one. He reportedly surrendered his phone to the authorities.
The now-deactivated account called on supporters of the GMA network and President Rodrigo Duterte and offered P200 million for whoever gets to kill Angel, Coco Martin, and Kim Chiu. The tweet also talked about blowing up the ABS-CBN compound with the New People’s Army (NPA). It became an online hot topic after the 35-year-old actress chose to laugh it off and expose it to her Instagram followers.
While the actress was only jesting, the NBI on Thursday said that it takes these threats seriously and said that Angel and the other mentioned celebrities have all the right to seek assistance from their office.

Angel responded to this through a tweet to extend her gratitude. She, however, said that she would prefer to not escalate it.
“For now, ipag-pray ko muna tong mga taong to. Ayoko silang pahirapan pa sa hirap ng buhay ngayon sa kung anong pwede kong ikaso sa kanila (For now, I shall pray for these people. I do not want to make life worse for them in these difficult times with what cases I can file to them),” she said.
She, however, added that if it happens again, “hindi ko sila aatrasan (I will not back down).”
