It was supposed to be a regular Sunday for most people, but it became a special one when Anne Curtis just dropped the news that she and her husband Erwan Heussaff are anticipating a new member of the family.
Anne’s preggy news came a bit more subtle than your usual “We have a baby” announcements, when she uploaded a video on Instagram, captioned, “I think you should know something… Another reason to love November.”
Playing “Nothing’s Gonna Hurt You Baby” by Cigarette After Sex in the background, the video started as artistic and romantic as it can be in a sense with carefully chosen shots. It is in the latter part of the video though that Anne’s baby bump was given emphasis as she removes her coat.
Erwan posted the same video with the caption “5/9” which could be a hint but no other details were given as of writing.
It was in 2011 when Erwan and Anne became a couple and they finally tied the knot six years after.
‘Buwis-buhay’
Anne as one of the prominent faces of Kapamilya noontime show, It’s Showtime, is known for many trademarks other than her lips and singing as subjects of jokes by her co-hosts. Included in the Annebisyosa package is her top-tier performances especially in the show’s annual Magpasikat.
It’s Showtime just celebrated its 10th year anniversary this October and Anne and her team once again wowed the madling people with her stunts. For this year, the performance was circus-inspired which involved lifting, leg stretching, and being spun in a giant iron wheel.
So when her pregnancy hit the online waves, many netizens were shocked, worried for her and her baby’s safety.
In an interview with OneMusicPH, Vhong Navarro, one of her co-hosts, admitted that ‘they (It’s Showtime hosts) cried’ when Anne told them the news before revealing it to the world of social media.
“Natakot kami (We were scared),” Vhong said in the same interview, referring to her buwis-buhay rehearsals and stunts for their Sampu-Sample performance that was just two weeks ago. Despite this, he, however, emphasized that he is happy for his co-host and her husband.
