The title of being Miss Eco Teen Philippines 2019 had been taken away from Vanessa Mae Walters, the Miss World Philippines Organization announced on Friday, October 4.
Walters was stripped of her title due to the “misrepresentation of her credentials,” “unprofessional behavior,” and “indecency,” according to the pageant’s national director Arnold Vegafria.
She was accused of not attending official functions to promote Miss Eco Teen Philippines, walking out on meeting with the national director, and refusing to sign the contract with the organization.
Vegafria also added that the Miss Eco Teen International Organization called their attention regarding Walters’ nude photos posted on her social media accounts and “public display of alcohol and tobacco use.”
Last week, Walters posted in Instagram a nude photo of her with only a light line to cover her in a beach along with the caption, “There’s a lot of bad things there wishing on me #victoriassecret.“

“These are clear violations based on the Miss World Philippines Candidate Rule Book. The offenses she has committed warrant the removal of her title as Miss Eco Teen Philippines 2019 winner and its corresponding prizes,” Vegafria said.
He also stressed that the Miss World Philippines Organization “wishes to maintain high ethical and moral standards and uphold the integrity of the titleholders.
“
He said that Walters was expected to act as “an ambassador of the Philippines in the Miss Eco Teen competition, represent the organization in a professional manner, and serve as role model for the youth.”
Following the dethronement, the organization then proclaimed Mary Daena Zaide Resurreccion as Walters’ replacement.
The new Miss Eco Teen Philippines 2019 is set to compete in Cairo, Egypt next month.
