MANILA — Inclement weather caused by severe tropical storm ‘Ineng’ has so far affected 8,008 families, the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) said Monday.
In its 6 a.m. update, the NDRRMC said these families are residing in 156 barangays in Regions 1 (Ilocos), 2 (Cagayan Valley), and 3 (Central Luzon), which translates to 33, 333 persons.
Of the total affected families, 193 families or around 601 persons are being served inside while 16 families are outside the evacuation centers.
The bad weather also claimed the life of one person and injured two others in Pasuquin, Ilocos Norte.
A total of 43 houses were damaged (17 totally destroyed and 26 partially damaged) in three municipalities in Ilocos Norte.
