Quotes
“Companies that export are more productive, pay higher wages and invest more in research and development. However, only 12% of Canadian small and medium-sized businesses are exporting. This represents a big opportunity. Our government is promoting export opportunities so that British Columbia’s small and medium-sized businesses can unlock the economic potential of trade deals like the Canada–European Union Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement, the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership and the United States–Mexico–Canada Agreement and the global customer base they provide.

- The Government is helping SMEs expand into new markets abroad—and reach over 1 billion new customers—by promoting export through the negotiation and implementation of free trade agreements, such as the Canada-European Union Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA) and the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP).
