What could be the best birthday gift for a fangirl if not a chance to meet her idol in person, right?
For Filipino fans of the Kpop group iKON, or collectively known as iKONics, the luckiest fangirl of them all is actually the celebrity daughter Scarlett Kramer – after she met her favorite member, and the group’s rapper Bobby, moments before their 2018 Continue Tour started at the Mall of Asia (MOA) Arena last November 12.
Remember earlier this year when Scarlett’s dad, Doug Kramer, took to Instagram to seek for Team Kramer fans’ help for Scarlett’s birthday wish – which is for the Kpop idol Bobby to perform or sing a song for her on her birthday? In the video posted, Scarlett was crying, inviting the idol to go to her birthday.
After the video went viral, Scarlett’s video request to Bobby reached the idol, to which he replied with a video through his own Instagram account (@bobbyindaeyo), where he greets the little girl, “Scarlett, this is Uncle Bobby. Happy birthday!” and even sang her a birthday song.
But just when Scarlett thought it’s the most she could have as a birthday present from Bobby, she was wrong.
On July 31, Pulp Live World announced the back-to-back concerts of Kpop groups iKON and Winner on November through their social media pages — secure chance for Scarlett to see the iKON’s rapper perform live.
But what made Scarlett luckier than the other Filipino iKONics at the concert last night was her meet-up with Bobby before the concert started. Doug shared on his Instagram a video of him with his family meeting the Kpop idol backstage. Doug and Chesca Kramer, his wife, introduced themselves and the kids, and Cris Jean Silva whom they said was the one who introduced the Kpop group to their family. Bobby, looking very thankful, kept on waving to Kendra and Scarlett. While the two girls stood quietly, staring at Bobby – and later on handed their handwritten letters to him to which he appreciatively accepted and said, “Thank you very much.” Bobby hugged the Kendra and Scarlet and took a couple of pictures after.
Later on, Doug commented on how it was his first time seeing Scarlett so composed. The little fangirl answered, “I’m shaking.”
Doug posted on his Instagram a picture of Bobby with his two beautiful daughters Scarlett and Kendra, with caption: “We didn’t think it was possible, but @bobbyindaeyo made it happen! Happy birthday scarlett!!”
Meanwhile, on Bobby’s Instagram stories, he posted a photo of Scarlett’s and Kendra’s handwritten letters with caption: “@chekkakramer Thank you so much.”
