MANILA — Tropical Depression “Josie” initially prompted the transfer of the JPV Marikina-Davao Aguilas game from Marikina City to Carmona, Cavite on Saturday.

An hour before its scheduled kick-off on Sunday, however, the storm forced the total postponement of the game.

The Philippines Football League (PFL) announced that the Marikina-Davao match will be rescheduled to a later date.

Owing to “adverse weather conditions and [the] flooded field” of the PFF National Training Center in Carmona, the match will now be played later in the season.

As of 1 p.m. Sunday, the entire province of Cavite was placed under red rainfall warning by the state weather bureau. Governor Jesus Remulla then placed the said province under state of calamity.
