Alleged burglar dies after home invasion near Prince Albert in Saskatchewan

PRINCE ALBERT, Sask. — One of three men who allegedly broke into a home in northern Saskatchewan has died of injuries he sustained.

Prince Albert RCMP say the 27-year-old man, who has not been named, died Sunday in a Saskatoon hospital.

Sgt. Brian Udey (YOO’-dee) confirms the man was one of three suspects in a home invasion on May 27.

Udey cannot say how the man was hurt.

Residents were threatened with bear spray and other weapons.

Udey says no charges have been laid so far and the investigation is ongoing.
