Dela Rosa warns erring cops

By , on January 12, 2018

Philippine National Police (PNP) chief Director General Ronald Dela Rosa warned that stricter penalties and speedy dismissal await cops who render acts of transgressions, especially now that their pay has been doubled.

“I promise you that I will implement not just heavier punishment but as well as faster resolution of their cases, they will be quickly dismissed. I will immediately dismiss the police, especially those whose salary are doubled but still continue to transgress and abuse,” the PNP chief said in an interview on Friday.

He also pointed out that even prior to their salary hike, they do not have any reason to do such misconducts.

Dela Rosa said it is high time for the PNP to better their services and to exert their best efforts in ensuring the country’s safety.

“We do not expect anything more from our policemen but to patrol when he’s assigned to patrol, arrest those who needs to be arrested. They should not just sleep, text and relax,” he said.
