Mayor Sara Duterte expressed full support for the decision of her husband lawyer Manases Carpio and her brother, resigned Vice Mayor Paolo Duterte, to file a case against the Duterte family’s staunch critic, Senator Antonio Trillanes IV.
Carpio and Paolo filed a civil suit against Trillanes before the regional trial court (RTC) Branch 15 of Judge Mario Duaves. Sara said she hopes that the lawsuit will eventually prosper.
In the complaint filed by the two, they said they were maligned by Trillanes when he involved their names in the drug smuggling mess at the Bureau of Customs (BOC).
Meanwhile, Trillanes tagged the civil case as a ‘harassment suit’ stressing that the Dutertes should “make sure to stay in power forever” because he made it his “life mission to make the murderous and corrupt clan accountable for their actions.”
