By , on December 13, 2017

Department of Justice on Thursday rejected Peter Lim’s counter-affidavit that he submitted to the DOJ after Philippine National Police filed drug trafficking charges against him.

The counter-affidavit issued by Lim’s lawyer, Majilyn Loja on Thursday sought to dismiss the charges of sale, administration, dispensation, trading, delivery and transportation of illegal drugs under Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act).

In a preliminary investigation hearing, the prosecuting board said they would only accept Lim’s counter-affidavit if he personally subscribes it to them.

According to Loja, her client had filed a counter affidavit to Senior Assistant City Prosecutor Antonio Valencia in the Manila City prosecutor’s office on Tuesday, Aug. 22.

Loja cited that Lim, who is fearful of his life does not feel safe  to attend the preliminary investigation adding that he is more comfortable to appear at the prosecutor’s office in Manila City Hall.
