Janet Lim-Napoles was throttled into the spotlight with her involvement in the PhP 10-billion scam involving the misuse of several legislators’ “pork barell” funds or PDAF (Priority Development Assistance Fund). Napoles allegedly facilitated the funneling of the said amount into non-existent or bogus organizations as the “beneficiaries” of the PDAF.
This time, her youngest daughter Jeane, 23, is being scrutinized for being too public about her lavishly extravagant lifestyle. Jeane Napoles readily deactivated her social media accounts soon after her mother’s name was brought up with the PDAF skirmish as published in the Philippine Daily Inquirer on July 12.
Jeane’s Tumblr account, last updated in 2011, remains public. However, her Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter accounts are no longer active by July 18th.
Jeane’s posts contained everything from her trips to Paris, to her invitation to the MTV Movie Awards in 2011, and her expensive outfits. The young Napoles was not stingy on details either. In her photo captions, she included who and what she wore from head to toe.
Sources who refused to be named have informed the media that Jeane is currently unemployed. According to the sources, Jeane drove a Porsche whenever she’s in the Philippines and stayed at the Ritz Carlton in Los Angeles, California. Sources even added that most of Jeane’s friends were less than surprised when the Napoles family was involved in the scam, since the Napoles’ lifestyle changed dramatically and quickly in 2005. Jeane was not shy in sharing her newly found wealth, being described by the sources as “nice and really generous.”
Jeane’s blog have already gone viral, garnering comments and posts from netizens who disapprove of her lifestyle and how they allegedly became rich.
