MANILA — Tropical Depression Tino intensified into a tropical storm as it completely left the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) Saturday morning.
In its latest bulletin, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said “Tino”, which now carries the international name “Kirogi”, was last located at 70 km. east-northeast of Pagasa Island, Palawan, outside the PAR.
The tropical storm was packing maximum sustained winds of 65 kph near the center, and gustiness of up to 90 kph, moving west-northwest at 20 kph.
PAGASA projected “Kirogi” to be at 465 km. west of Pagasa Island by Sunday morning. (PNA)
