MANILA — A day after getting eliminated from title contention in the PBA Governors’ Cup, TNT suffered another whammy on Monday.
The league slapped import Glen Rice Jr. with a PHP26,000 fine for the events that led to his ejection in Game 4 of the semifinals against Ginebra.
Rice was called for a Flagrant Foul Penalty 1 after shoving Kevin Ferrer while trying to evade his defense.
Rice then threw the ball near Ferrer afterward, which merited him with a technical foul that led the referee to throw him out of the game.
Before that, however, Rice was seen confronting the KaTropa’s alternate governor Pato Gregorio and some league officials.
As he walked out of the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City, he taunted some Ginebra fans and flashed a dirty finger which the PBA management also took notice of.
