MANILA—Gilas Pilipinas and China, the finalists in the 2015 FIBA Asia Cup, are grouped together for the preliminaries of the 2017 edition in Beirut.
In the official draw of the tournament at the Le Royal Hotel Dbayeh, Gilas and China headline Group B, which also features Qatar and Iraq.
Meanwhile, Group C turns out to be a very tough group as the host nation Lebanon, Kazakhstan, South Korea, and New Zealand find themselves together.
On the other hand, Group A is equally compelling with Iran, Jordan, Syria, and India consisting the group.
The final group, Group D, has Japan, Chinese Taipei, Hong Kong, and Australia in it.
