Ang saya saya ko (I’m so happy).” This was how actress Sylvia Sanchez described how she felt when she got to meet again the nurse who took care of her and her husband, Art Atayde, when they were battling coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19).

Their reunion happened after seven months, according to the actress’s Instagram post.

Sylvia said it was only at that moment when she clearly saw nurse Dianne Engco’s face since she had to wear a face mask while attending to the actress and her husband.

Habang niyayakap kita kanina ang sarap sarap sa pakiramdam na mapasalamatan ka ng buong buo. Nakakabilib ang dedikasyon mo bilang Charge Nurse sa aming mga Covid Patients (While I was hugging you earlier, it felt so nice to thank you wholeheartedly. Your dedication as a charge nurse to Covid patients is impressive),” she said.

The actress expressed how grateful she was to Dianne not only for taking care of them but also for loving and uplifting their spirits during their fight against Covid-19.

Ilang beses kitang tinanong noon, mabubuhay pa ba ako Dianne? Makakauwi pa ba ako? Sagot mo sa akin, opo, magkikita pa kayo ng mga anak mo, hinihintay ka nila kaya palakas at pagaling ka hahaha kaiyak maalala (I asked you many times before, ‘Am I still going to live, Dianne?’ ‘Will I still be able to come home?’ You replied to me, saying, ‘Yes, you and your children are still going to see each other, they are waiting for you so get well.’ It’s making me tearful when I remember),” Sylvia recalled.

For Sylvia, Dianne is one of her angels when she was in a hospital bed, and now, she considers the nurse as her new friend and family member.

It was in March when the actress revealed that she and Art, parents of actors Ria and Arjo Atayde, were infected with Covid-19.

“Finally, nayakap na namin mga anak namin kaninang lunch (Finally, we were able to hug our children earlier during lunch). Yahoooo!!! Ang sarap sarap ng pakiramdam (It felt really nice)!! Ang saya saya (I’m so happy),” Sylvia said in the May Instagram post.
